Rainier III of Monaco in the Footsteps of Saint Devota

9 June 2003, a special day in Lucciana

The exhibition pays tribute to the sovereign's attachment to Lucciana, the birth and death place of Saint Devota, the patron saint of the Principality and Corsica. On June 9th, 2003, during Pentecost, Prince Rainier III and his successor, Prince Albert II, joined the believers in pilgrimage. An unforgettable moment engraved in the memories of Corsicans and Monegasques.

The Taste of Stamps

The collections, mainly entrusted by the Palace, reveal Rainier III's passion for numismatics and philately.

From one shore to the other

A windy scenography

Inspired by the boat journey of the Saint from Corsica to Monaco, the exhibition's scenography presents a unique collection and memories from this special day on June 9th, 2003.

Twenty years after this religious event, this cultural exhibition reinforces the unbreakable ties between Monaco and Lucciana.
